I dropped by Miniforest this morning when i noticed a people were heading to one stall of DVDs there. So i checked what was going on. Surprisingly, people were looking for a copy of Michael Jackson's concert and albums. I was able to talk to the vendor, Farida. She said since Saturday, her sales increased about 200 percent. She sold more than four hundred copies of Jacko's albums in one day. Work instinct, i called my cameraman and started interviewing. Most of the Dabawenyos i interviewed said, Jacko has been a part of their life, especially those in their middle ages.

After completing my story at miniforest, we moved to Baranggay 31-D to feature the coastal clean up activity. On our way through small "eskinitas," i noticed Aileen Galves finishing her packing of old records. I took a few minutes to chat with her when i noticed she was segregating thier old long play records. I took a closer look at the records when i thought it looked familiar. Of course, she was making sure Michael Jackson's live concert and other albums are kept in better condition. Aileen told me Jakco was a part of their living before. They were famous in the area for their mobile disco service. And because they got almost all Jacko's records, they got more client than other mobile disco service provider in the area.
I should scheck on my AOR tomorrow if more Jacko fans are mourning his death.
